Hey all,

I would like to formally announce that we are now looking for a Moderator for the ASIL website. Both DrPhish and Stalker have been promoted to full Administrators and it would be great to have another set of eyes on the forums.

Here is what the moderator does:

1.) Monitors all forum conversations to make sure people aren't using improper language, an abusive tone, or talking down to others.
2.) Prunes forums and threads to make sure the useful information is displayed while dead and unimportant topics don't take up unnecessary space.
3.) Discusses member actions with other moderators and administrators, sanctions as necessary.
4.) TACTFULLY keeps topics on the right track.
5.) Avoids emulating improper behavior or language on the forums and in games.

Moderators only have real power on the forums. Outside of the forums, including in games, even when sanctioned by ASIL, you are a standard member. We already have the ASIL Board and administrators to handle in-game and off-forum stuff; what we really need is someone who can "be there" in the forums when something comes up.

The Moderators are chosen by me and the other Administrators. If we know you personally, that can be a good or bad boost for you, as we are interested in how you have behaved on the forums thus far and how mature you will be given greater authority over the forums.
